Sterling silver clay

These are just a few of my new PMC charm necklaces. The whale was a antique leather button which i made a mold from. The compass was a wax seal and the anchor was an antique button that I used as a impression. This is first time that I have tried out the new Sterling silver PMC clay.
The pro's are that people understand what .925 is about. It is harder than fine silver. It has a hint of a golden color to it, because they add bronze clay to the fine silver. The con's are that you have to fire in the kiln twice. Which in my case take a long while.
I also tried copper clay which was a lot of fun. Because it's so reasonable I can make  much larger pieces.

The Christmas spirit

Had a our Annual Nantucket Christmas Stroll Craft show. This past weekend. The weather could not have been better. People were in good spirits. I just like to people watch and the crazy outfits and head dresses ( santa hats, antlers and misseltoe head bands) to name a few. But the best was my husband Jim McIntosh, dress up in his german Lederhosen. He had a blast running around town and had his picture taken with everyone on main street.

trying to blog

This is my first blog. So here it goes.
Tonight I went to Petticoat row meeting, it was all about social media.
It was very interesting. So I thought I would give it a try.
I have following my cousin blog for several years now. ( The Mommy Rant)
I love seeing what she has posted for day. It really helps me stay connected
with her and her family. I love her sense of humor.
